Treating Melasma

Melissa, Age: 35

Sunlight, environmental factors and the natural passage of time all contribute to the development of dark spots, skin pigmentation and freckles. Your face, hands and chest are the first parts of the body to show signs of ageing because they receive so much sun exposure. Age spots, skin pigmentation and freckles are forms of pigmented lesions. They are caused by excess production of melanin in the skin. Melissa Xerri - Before and After-01   Melissa came to our clinic seeking treatment for Pigmentation on her face. We treated Melissa for Melasma with a combination of CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing and Q-Switch Nd:Yag Laser. The results in the span of 10 days are fantastic. *The “After” photo has been taken 10 days after treatment and still shows transient redness. This redness will dissipate over the coming weeks. Jenner’s consultation was very informative, more than that which Id experienced at beauty salons in my attempts to remove pigmentation.  She took the opportunity to make sure that I not only understood the process but the after care too. Great importance was placed on the commitment required after the laser treatment. The procedure was easy; there was a small degree of discomfort, swelling and a slightly uncomfortable week while my skin was healing. It was explained to me that the post-care is the most crucial step.  If one desires not to have a pigmentation problem reoccur, the individual must be dedicated to Jenner’s plan and advice.  My skin is getting better everyday and I’m so happy that the Cosmetic Medical Clinic has been able to help me with this long running problem. – Melissa
